Music Box

Filipinos love to sing, where ever you go or whatever occasion you will attend to, singing will definitely be a part of that event.   Videoke bar or singing houses are very popular in Korea, it was called norebangs and many koreans goes to this singing houses to sober up after drinking.

In Taiwan and Japan, it was called KTV houses  or piano bars and here in the Philippines there are many karaoke machines that you can rent whenever you had an occasion to celebrate and sometimes lead to various killings because of violent reactions.

Too sad, sometimes this videoke or KTV bars are just front for gentlemen’s club which men goes to drink with some female hosts who will drink and sing for them.

Meanwhile, here in Naga City, there are many music bar who cater and offers good services for your singing pleasure.

One of this is the Music Box which you can find in one of the prime hotels in the Metro and you get the chance to eat a sumptuous meal from Oyster Plaza.

All Time Christmas Recipe

So, what have you made this Christmas?  Did you find a nice christmas recipe online or you just made your family heirloom recipe.  Casserole are definitely the favorite this year,  I have heard many friends who made their version of sweet potato casserole and green bean casserole are definitely rocks.  Potatoes are always like a christmas story, sweet and tasty, it brings good treat and great addition for our Christmas foods.

Krispy Kreme

Who does not love doughnuts.  I bet out of 10 people, 8 would probably answer that they like it so much.  But some doughnuts are just too sweet and can even make my tooth aches.  I finally found a doughnut that is perfectly right with its taste, softness and affordability but too sad that we still don’t have them in our city.

So, whenever I had a chance to visit Manila, i make it to the point that i stop at Krispy Kreme and eat my favorite treats.  But I am very lucky on my last visit because I get a chance to have a box of Krispy Kreme for free. Geisler Maclang, one of the sponsors from our recently concluded Pinay Mommies community EB had given each mom a canvas bag with Krispy Kreme and shirt of Alaxan with Pacquiao on it as their share of sponsorship for us.

I so love the delicious flavor of Krispy Kreme and I do hope i will get the chance to eat it again in the near future or somehow I pray that they will soon open a branch here.  It would be an assurance, that I would be their first loyal customers here.

Manila Bay Cruise by Sun Cruises

Just around the Metro, you can find a bliss.  It’s time for you to get out and feel the warmth breeze of the sea.  Go on a sail with Manila Bay Cruise from Sun cruise M/V Spirit of Manila and have a romantic dinner with your family and friends.

Sun Cruises offers a very affordable but romantic dinner while sailing around the Manila Bay.  For just Php. 550.00, you can have the feeling of how to dine in a cruise.

When I saw the deal at Pakyaw.com, i know, i should not missed the chance.  I instantly bought two tickets for me and to treat my step-mom.  I wanted to buy more for my other sibling but I was short of money that time, so i told myself that I would just buy one ticket on that day for my other sister.  I have no idea if you need to make a booking for atleast 3 days but that’s what was posted in the coupon, so I made prior bookings but i guess you can just go there and buy your ticket.

There are three cruising time, the first one starts at around 4:30 but you need atleast 30 minutes earlier at the docking site. The docking place of Sun Cruises is not hard to find, there’s a big signage near the Folk Art’s Theater, so you don’t need to worry looking for it.

If you are coming with your own car and you have to leave it, you have to pay 35.00 for the parking fee but of course, you get an assurance that you can safely leave your car instead of parking just anywhere.

Although the food is kind  a little.  I have no idea if they have different menu for the day.  But the food is a combination of fish fillet,  a small pork, a small quantity of  vegetable, a little dessert and unlimited water , just enough to satisfy your hunger.

The food is not as grand as I imagined but i guess what I looked forward is the view of the surroundings and the feeling of course.  Not to forget the beautiful voice of the singers that will serenade you while on board the cruise. You get a chance to request for your favorite songs too.

I choose the 4:30 because I wanted to see the sunset and I still need to go to Resort’s World to attend the Celebrity Screening of “The Road” at 7:00 in the evening.

I thought the place was best for celebrating a different birthday or for a romantic proposal for your girlfriend or maybe just to celebrate something special with your family and friends.   But if there is one thing that I know you will agree with me is the feeling of “bitin”, 1 hour and 15 minutes is really fast.

I am definitely coming back.  Although, the food is very limited the feeling is somehow extra wonderful and that’s what matter most.

Cooking with Chef Tristan Encarnacion

This post was late but not overdue.  I promised to blog about what happened in our trip at Pitogo and Unisan Quezon and my previous post is just a proof how beautiful the place was.

This time, i want to share with you a recipe that Chef Tristan Encarnacion made during the event.  It was very simple and easy to make.

He used goat considering that it was the featured ingredients of the day.  First, he marinate the goat with pepper and salt.

Put the “kakang gata” or the fresh coconut milk in the pan to boil. Add small amount of water. Put the goat in the pan to boil.

Add curry powder and bring it to a boil.   You will know if your dish is done when the meat is tender and the sauce is already thick.

With Kohl’s assortment of kitchen appliances, your kitchen will surely stand out and would be a place of envy for your friends but of course, you are not doing this just to make your friends envy.

I have been planning to learn to bake for sometime and I know baking is not easy if you don’t have the right equipments I am saving for that. I believe a Kohl mixer would be great for a start. I hope, i can also start to save Kohl’s cash or bought on their current Black Friday Sale just like JC Penny which was happening all over their stores.
