Revisiting Starbucks

May 22, 2011 in blogging, food and beverage

I always love Starbucks. I have many beautiful memories here at Robinson’s Place Starbucks.  My friends and i always choose this place to hang out and it was a lot of fun, fun , fun memories. I remember having a romantic date here with my ex’s (ooh, don’t mentioned that to hubby :) . Hubby is not a coffee drinker, so i wonder when will i bring him here because the last time we went to another coffee shop , he had a sleepless night.

Starbucks are well loved by many coffee lovers or even if your not one.  They serve great coffees , hot or cold and they never run out of new ideas, just like their  new frappuccino.

I would really love to try it but unfortunately it was already sold out. Ooh, i’m a little bit dismay but still i’m in a happy mood that day and nothing could ruin that happiness.  So, i ordered another favorite drink of mine, “mango passion fruit” which is really delicious and tasty and guess what, it compliments my dress too.

Very summer look, don’t you think?

And of course, i would not leave the store without  my take outs.

I’m looking forward on my next visit.  I know this will be a perfect one too and just like the other days, it would be a memory worth cherishing.

Ginger Infused lemonade

May 12, 2011 in blogging, food and beverage, recipe

As the summer heat approaches, thirsts are in need of quenching, and lemonade season is on the rise. It’s important to do your part to support local dealers, (we don’t need a lemonade industry bailout), but here’s a twist you might not see on a street corner near you: Ginger infused Lemonade!

With a vaporizer at the ready it’s easy to extract natural flavors and add them to your favorite style of lemonade, be it fresh squeezed, pink, or otherwise. The gentle heat from the vaporizer releases aromatic and flavorful compounds that enter the drink in the form of vapor droplets. Serve this one on ice, and the droplets will instantly cool down amd condense into the lemonade, thereby infusing natural flavorings for all to enjoy.

Ingredients:
½ Gallon of your favorite lemonade
1 Ginger Root
2 Tbl. Dried Ginger
4 Tbl. Raw Cane Sugar
6 oz Vodka or Clear Rum (optional)

1) To begin, pour your lemonade into a serving jug, leaving 1-2 inches at the top.
2) Next, crush the dried ginger and add two tablespoons to the filling chamber
3) Turn on the vaporizer, and set it to medium temperature, around 300-350 F
4) While the vaporizer heats up, shave the fresh ginger root into thin slices.
5) Once it reaches the target temp, turn the vaporizer’s pump or fan on and direct the flow of vapor into the lemonade for 2 minutes.
6) Next, turn the heat up to 400 F and add 3-4 fresh slices of ginger to the filling chamber. Turn on the pump and direct vapor into the lemonade for 4-5 minutes
7) Add 4 tablespoons of raw cane sugar to the mixture and stir.
8) When served over ice, add a slice of lemon and a slice of ginger to each glass as a garnish.

This thirst quenching lemonade is guaranteed to please friends, family and neighbors. At first glance, it is indistinguishable from regular old lemonade. However, catch a whiff or taste of this delight and its easy to see why we can’t keep enough in our refrigerator. Always serve chilled or over ice. For adult playtime, add the vodka or clear rum to each glass and raise your cups in celebration of this fantastic spin on a summertime favorite.

Day Dreaming

April 12, 2011 in blogging

My head is not in the right form right now.  I felt dizzy and i wanted to rest for a while.  But i have to be infront of the computer talking to all of you and do my job.

i am really sleepy, i wanted to create something interesting but my body just don’t want to cooperate. Although sleep is overpowering me, I can still see words dropping down my eyes as if saying , just type me, go on and you’ll be okay in no time.

Ooh, I’m day dreaming again, i do hope that my wishes do come true and I will get a chance to see the beautiful things around me and not just the underlying problems. .
